FruitCubed wins Best Business Plan and Best Showcase Awards at Ignite Award Ceremony 2016.

Pinch me. Actually..... Pinch me a second time.

'What? FruitCubed won!'

That was my reaction, this Monday the 27th of June when my name and my company was announced as the winner of not only the Best Showcase award but also the Best Business Plan award.

I think the smile plastered on my face and the tired eyes explain it all.

The last few weeks, have been crazy. Fantastic crazy. Terrifying crazy.

We went from a crazy idea to a finished product that is branded, packaged, sold to our first customer. I am so proud to say that FruitCubed is now a key component in the smoothies served in Hassett's cafe on Washington street in Cork city.

Two weeks ago we finished the Supervalu Food Academy, a program which is aimed at getting local producers into the world of retail. It consisted of 5 workshops which cover all aspects of getting your product on the shelves in a safe, efficient, effective manner. What an invaluable few days it was. Our final pitch to the Supervalu team is on the 13th of July to see if we will progress to an in store trial. Something we are very excited to do!

Finally, Monday marked the end of the Ignite program. The last nine months have been the most amazing journey all because of one man- Eamon Curtin. This man has worked tirelessly to help us get the most out of ourselves and our business and educated us in ways I never knew possible. I think I learned more life lessons in the last nine months than I did in the last few years which can all be linked back to this fantastic individual, without which the cohort of individuals engaged in the program would definitely be a lot less.

To every person who has helped, in every single way- thank you!

Now head out and stock up your fridges with FruitCubed!!!
